Works started on the new passengers' terminal at Zagreb International Airport

ZAGREB, 18.12.2103 – By placing panels at the entrance to the construction site and the arrival Viadukt's experts and mechanization began the preliminary works on the project of new passengers' terminal at Zagreb International Airport. At this stage, works are mainly related to the preparation of the area and site installation, setup of platforms, infrastructure, fences and mobile objects for staff, grantor, engineer, concrete, access roads, etc., while setting the “first stone” is planned for spring when will start main works on construction of the new passengers’ terminal.

The largest aircraft in the world Antonov 225 at Zagreb Airport

This weekend,(from 8-10 Nov 2013) Zagreb Airport will handle the bigiest aircraft in the world AN225. The estimated time of its arrival is Friday, 8 November 2013, at 18 o'clock. On Saturday, 9 Nov, the aircraft will be on parking positions of Zagreb Airport the entire day, due to loading operations.
The estimated time of departure is Sunday, 10 Nov, at 6 o'clock.
Citizens who wish to see the aircraft and have not applied via e-mail, may see the aircraft on Saturday , 9 Nov, from 8 - 18 o'clock from the Spectators Terrace, which will be open for this occasion.

Zagreb Airport working with SESAR to help deliver tomorrow’s aviation

Zagreb Airport Ltd. hosted a regional roadshow, aimed at raising awareness of the airport community’s activities within the EU’s flagship SESAR programme.

SESAR (Single European Sky Air traffic management Research) is a public-private partnership founded by the European Commission and EUROCONTROL and supported by industry partners from all sides of the air transport sector. Its mandate is to develop the technical and operational solutions to improve airspace efficiency (for example, by shortening air routes) which will help make the Single European Sky a reality.

46th ACI Europe Environmental Strategy Committee

Zagreb Airport was the host of ACI Europe Environmental Strategy Committee from 18th - 19th April 2013, consisting of more than 50 representatives from European airports and associates from air industry whose focus was the improvement of environment protection.

All conditions for the realization of construction project of Zagreb Airport NPT - fulfilled

Ministry of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure announced on its web page the news on fulfilment of conditions for realization of Zagreb Airport New Passenger Terminal construction project.

Government: concession for the Zagreb Airport goes to ZAIC

 ZAGREB, 29 February 2012 (Hina) - At a meeting held today, the Government decided to award concession for the construction of the new passenger terminal of the Zagreb Airport to French consortium Zagreb Airport International Company (ZAIC).

Deputy Minister for Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure Zdenko Antešić said that it was a 30-year concession for the construction of a new passenger terminal and management of the existing and new terminals and related infrastructure.
